Will you help us rise to great heights? Become a volunteer!
Aviodrome Aviation Museum is a world of aviation adventure. Every day we receive many visitors whom we enthuse about the history of aviation. Our museum houses many special collection pieces and employs passionate colleagues, but without volunteers we simply cannot exist. Our team of about 180 volunteers works daily to enhance the visitor's experience. Will you help? Knowledge of aviation is a plus, but not necessary. Enthusiasm and passion for our museum is of course a requirement.
What can you do?
At Aviodrome, the possibilities are endless! Discover all volunteer positions:
Steward
Steward
You are the face of Aviodrome upon entry! You give our guests a warm welcome at the entrance, act as supervisor at an exhibition and answer all (pressing) questions from visitors.
Tour guide
Tour guide
If our visitors really want to delve into the depths of aviation history, they've come to the right place. You enjoy leading a group around and have a keen sense of group dynamics.
Day Coordinator
Day Coordinator
As day coordinator, you will be the point of contact for our volunteers and that day's duty manager. You will check the schedule, adjust it as needed and ensure proper compliance.
Radio room
Radio room
You have a background in radio telegraphy and enjoy sharing this passion with visitors. This subject may be underexposed in aviation, but you, with your knowledge and enthusiasm, will change that.
Space volunteer
Space volunteer
You have a specific passion for space travel and believe that this subject should not be missing from the museum. You will collaborate (mostly behind the scenes) on the exhibition and collection.
Maintenance (technical)
Maintenance (technical)
You have a career in (aircraft) engineering or are studying in this field. Your heart beats faster when you tinker with and complete (historical) aircraft. At Aviodrome you can have your fun in this field.
Maintenance (general)
Maintenance (general)
You like to work with your hands and enjoy doing small jobs. With us, there is always plenty to do to make the museum more beautiful and better.
Archive
Archive
Our museum has a large archive and it must be carefully managed. You like to keep yourself busy with archiving, finding out facts, putting them in the right order and looking for connections and common ground. This is how we keep aviation history alive!
Simulators
Simulators
You regularly fly (at home) in a simulator. You like to share your "flying skills" with visitors so that they too can experience what it is like to fly yourself.
Ready for take off?
Want to become a volunteer, but doubt you have enough experience and knowledge? Don't worry, we'll provide you with a thorough flight plan. When you start, an experienced volunteer will take out to get to know the museum and its collection as well. There are also regular meetings where we impart our knowledge. You will receive proper company clothing and we will reimburse (part of) your travel expenses.
