Spyker originally manufactured carriages since 1880. The most famous carriage is the Royal Family's "Golden Carriage. In 1914, Spyker entered the aviation industry. The Spyker V.2 was built as a training aircraft. This Spyker Trompenburg V.2 was a conventional aircraft with one engine and designed as a biplane and two-seater (seats back to back) with simple controls. The undercarriage was also conventional: one axle with two wheels, and on the tail a glider.

Renewed marriage

The Spyker V.2 looks pretty complete even now without canvas anyway. The original Thulin 80 hp engine is also already on it, an engine that was separated from its historical surroundings towards 100 years. On April 19, 2016, it came to a renewed "marriage." A rare, original propeller (including the easily readable weft "80HP THULIN") was reunited with the Thulin engine. Surely very special that after almost 100 years these two authentic and so important parts of the Spyker are now together again.
