The space exhibit is arranged based on a number of themes, with developments in Dutch space exploration playing a major role.

Important developments in the history of space travel are also on display. For example, a model of the Wostok capsule with which Yuri Gagarin was the first human to fly around the earth is on display. But there is also much to see about the Apollo program, the Gemini capsule used in this program and the moon landing with the lunar lander.

Models of the important Dutch astronomical satellites, ANS and IRAS, adorn the Netherlands' contribution to space developments, as well as the sloshing satellite Sloshsat Flevo.

The space exhibit includes a selection of the most appealing rockets, which cannot fail to include a Saturn V, a Soyuz and a Falcon rocket. Under the theme "Life with Satellites," the applications of space travel in our daily lives are given, such as communications, navigation, earth observation and precision agriculture. Within the theme "Manned Spaceflight," a beautiful scale model of the International Space Station (ISS) hangs and models of various manned spacecraft and space stations (Skylab, Saljut, Mir, and others) are on display. The "Astronomy" theme displays various objects and provides information from both astronomical research satellites and probes to planets in the solar system.
