Aviodrome Aviation Museum opens its doors to visitors again

Lelystad, June 1, 2020 - Aviodrome Aviation Museum in Lelystad was allowed to reopen its doors on Monday, June 1. At noon, general manager Serena van Kammen unlocked the doors and the first visitors were allowed into the museum. A total of several hundred enthusiasts visited the museum this sunny Whit Monday.

The museum had to close its doors on March 13 due to corona measures and, in subsequent weeks, set up the indoor and outdoor areas according to the one-and-a-half-meter society. For example, there is one-way traffic, hand disinfection facilities are available everywhere, and visitors must register in advance, online, and reserve a time slot for entry.

Experienced

Once inside, you can walk around all day and enjoy the exhibit on 100 years of civil aviation in the Netherlands, see a Boeing 747 inside or experience what Schiphol looked like in 1928.

"It is tremendously nice to be able to welcome people again," says general manager Serena van Kammen. "We have set it up here completely according to the protocols of the Museum Association and visitors can have a safe, responsible and, above all, fun and educational day here."
