Model building in action at Aviodrome Lelystad

'Modeling in Action'. That is the name of the event held by Aviodrome on June 25. The Aviation Theme Park in Lelystad will then be completely dedicated to this wonderful hobby. In addition to all the beauty Aviodrome has to offer, visitors can enjoy a model show, an air show with scale models and numerous children's activities.

During "Modeling in Action," special scale models are displayed based on different themes such as railroads, aviation and navy, for example. There is also a spectacular air show with these models. In addition, several model making societies will be present whose members get to work on their hobby on the spot. Modeling products will also be offered for sale. Thanks to the cooperation with IPMS (International Plastic Modellers' Society), visitors can also get to work with a building sheet themselves, free of charge.

Piloting boats

For children, there are various model building activities. For example, they can build their own model airplane and ride on a real steam train on a 200-meter model railroad. Furthermore, everyone can enjoy the truck model railroad. In addition, in cooperation with the National Space Museum, there is also a rocket workshop where children can build and fire their own rocket (up to 45 meters far!).

Unique evening opening

Especially for "Model Construction in Action," Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome will also be open in the evening on June 25. Aviodrome can be visited this day from 10:00 to 21:00. At 7 p.m. the spectacular model aviation show will take place with the most diverse models: from an F16 to even a flying witch. Enthusiasts can also enjoy an Aerobatic formation with the Yak 54, a 3D helicopter, a beautiful F-16 Israel, the F-100, aircraft from which miniature parachutists jump, a flying lawnmower and models in which stuffed animals brought by visitors can fly. After landing, they will receive a flying diploma for their stuffed animals.

'Model building' is thus the focus June 25 at Aviodrome! On the exhibition floor, in the museum and the outdoor area of Aviodrome, there will be all kinds of things to see, build and drive.
