Knowledge weeks in partnership with National Space Museum

Aviodrome Lelystad Airport is dedicated to "On Mars, into space!" during the autumn vacation - from October 13 to 28. In cooperation with the National Space Museum, Aviodrome is organizing knowledge weeks - part of October Knowledge Month - during which visitors can learn all about current research on Mars and (future) space flights to the planet.

Children ages 8 through 13 can use a questionnaire to gain knowledge and perform experiments on space and astronomy. If enough questions are answered correctly, participants will receive a Mars Explorer diploma. For younger visitors, coloring sheets are available and a space memory game can be played with other family members.

Discover Mars for yourself
Visitors can drive a space robot arm themselves in the model of the Colombus module of space station ISS and discover for themselves what the soil on Mars looks like in different places. In addition, there is a space stepping tour where one gets answers to the question of whether there is life on Mars. Finally, visitors can try to make a landing on Mars with their own folded plane. Aviodrome is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the autumn vacation (October 13 to 28).
