World's largest flight simulator event at Aviodrome

The 9th edition of the Flight Simulator Weekend will take place in the weekend of November 2 and 3 at Aviodrome Lelystad Airport. During this weekend, Aviodrome visitors and Flight Simulator enthusiasts will have the chance to see what it is like to be a pilot of different aircraft. Fly in a Boeing 747 or in the cockpit of an F-16 for an extra realistic experience. Outside the simulators, various workshops, virtual airlines and booths can be found.

Demonstrations
The Flight Simulator Weekend is organized by Aviodrome in cooperation with various organizations and clubs involved in flight simulation. Virtual flying on the computer is elevated to an art during this weekend. There are various demonstrations focused on creating and designing virtual cockpits, aircraft and color schemes. It is also possible to fly yourself and perform missions using these simulators.

Technology behind the simulators
Cockpit builders will also be on hand to show visitors their creations. Each part that the builders have used has a special story to go with it. For those of you who have always wanted to know how a flight simulator program is developed, a (technical) team will be present to explain exactly how, among other things, the 'scenery' (buildings and landscapes) of the Netherlands for the flight simulator were created. At the many stands many a 'FlightSimmer' will enjoy the wide range of FlightSim equipment.

Aviodrome will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during Flight Simulator Weekend.
