Aviodrome opens pop-up museum during National Museum Week!

Aviation theme park Aviodrome will open a pop-up museum at MBO College Lelystad during National Museum Week, from April 3 to 9. The National Museum Week, an initiative of the Museum Association, annually aims to surprise and inspire the public with our cultural heritage, with our museum showpieces, in short: with 'our real gold'!

Pop-up museum
Her Boeing 747 unfortunately cannot temporarily move Aviodrome to the schoolyard of the ROC of Flevoland, but still some beautiful showpieces are going to the school. The pop-up museum can be admired during National Museum Week from April 3 to 9. ''He who has the youth has the future,'' said Mirjam Moll of the Museum Association. But young people rarely visit museums individually. So museums increasingly seek out schoolchildren actively, precisely where they like to be, such as at festivals. That is why we asked three museums to bring out "our real gold" in a surprising way. Secondary education and secondary vocational education are wonderful venues for this."

Activities in Aviodrome
There are always fun activities to enjoy at Aviodrome as well. Children can get their license during a pilot and stewardess course, go on a flying adventure with the spectacular 4D-movie Skymania, but most of all they can learn a lot about aviation in our museum. "Of course, we think it is very important to strengthen support for museums, which is why we are opening a pop-up museum at the ROC of Flevoland for the first time on the occasion of National Museum Week," says Serena van Kammen, Aviodrome branch manager. And for those who would still like to admire the Boeing 747: Aviodrome is freely accessible with a Museum Card!
