Strongest man in the Netherlands comes to pull jets at Aviodrome

The strongest man in the Netherlands, Yoëll Blom, will come to pull a jet on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Aviodrome Aviation Museum. The big moment will take place at 2 p.m. on the platform in front of the Schiphol 1928 building.

As of Sept. 16, Yoëll carries the title "Strongest Man" in the up to 105 kilogram category. Blom: "It's really my dream come true hopefully to pull a plane. I have pulled shovels and trucks before, but this was still on my bucket list! It will still be exciting whether it will succeed, because the wheels are very different from a truck, for example."

Yoëll is 31 years old and lives in Hilversum. For the past four years he has been obsessed with being strong. Says Blom, "From dragging heavy objects to lifting impossible weights, I live for those moments when I can push my limits." His goal is to make the impossible possible, which is why he wants to challenge himself by pulling an airplane.

Saab 37 Viggen
