Aviodrome collection expanded with donated flight simulator

Aviodrome Aviation Museum has taken delivery of a new flight simulator. The company Wright Brothers Flight Technology (WBFT) donated the simulator, the Diamond DA40. General manager of Aviodrome Aviation Museum Coen Hoozemans and volunteer Joop Raasveld accepted the generous donation.

Max Bobkov of WBTF: "We feel it is important to share our passion for aviation. Not only with our customers, but also to the community. With this donation we hope to offer Aviodrome visitors an interesting experience and also inspire the younger generation." The DA40 was chosen because a practice flight in this aircraft is a low-threshold way to make a simulator flight without training.

Hoozemans: "As a museum, we depend mostly on donations. The new simulator is really a fantastic asset: not only for the collection, but also for the experience of our visitors!"

Currently, the DA40 Sim is in the Schiphol building. Volunteers will be trained in the coming months to make a test flight with visitors. At the beginning of the new year, the simulator will get a place in the museum. From then on, visitors will be able to make a flight.
